Our platform, client websites, and product information management tool (PIM), Boat, are built specifically for the home furnishing industry. Our PIM allows us to manage hundreds of vendor catalogs with high quality content allowing our clients to easily showcase the products they sell to consumers. We create, maintain, and update appealing consumer facing product presentations, making information available for customers who may want to browse options online before visiting a retailer.

Accessible internet content drives sales for both manufacturers and retailers as often consumers don’t know where or how to buy products without help from the internet, especially first time customers. If a customer cannot easily find information about your products online, they may purchase something from your competitors instead, even if your product would better meet their needs. If retail buyers know they can easily advertise your products on their website via the internet, they may be more likely to purchase your products.

We cannot maintain our high quality standards for furniture content without help from manufacturers. Because we manage hundreds of thousands of products across a variety of manufacturer brands, helpful data is key to ensuring accuracy and quality control. The first step of this process is to establish a relationship with a vendor / manufacturer. Our goal is to regularly communicate with furniture manufacturers to ensure we maintain an accurate and up to date catalog for their brands with high quality content in our PIM so that it can be displayed on retailer websites.

Communication with manufacturers allows us to:

  • Add new products to our PIM and Websites

  • Remove discontinued products from our PIM and Websites

  • Display accurate and up to date pricing for products which gives price-sensitive customers confidence about which products meet their budget

  • Maintain availability and inventory information for retailers

  • Display options for custom upholstery or casegoods, allowing customers to find the version of a custom product that perfectly matches their desires

None of this is possible without data

  • Interfacing your catalog with the internet cannot happen at scale without consistent and accurate product data in our PIM

  • We receive this information in the form of catalog files, pricelists, or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

  • These data structures allow us to automate part of the process, allowing a small team to cover a wide reach of products
